Felix since 1980

46 years of felix.
Software that grows with you.

felixUnity is not new, but the consistent further development of a product line that began with the first computer-aided hospitality systems. Here is a brief look at the milestones.

  1. 1980

    felix begins.

The felix product line starts on CTM systems in Munich and Salzburg, one of the first computer-aided hospitality solutions in the German-speaking region. Hoteliers type room occupancies into monochrome terminals.

  2. 1998

    Founding of GMS AI-native Software.

Heinrich and Ulrich Hutter found GMS in Salzburg and take over the further development of felix as an independent product. Sepp Lankmayer has been on board from the start.

  3. 2005

    felix goes web-based.

First browser-based version. Hoteliers access the same data from reception, housekeeping and hotel management, over any network.

  4. 2015

First integrations with modern channel managers.

Booking.com, Expedia and HRS are connected directly. Bookings land in the room chart without retyping. The list of connections grows year after year.

  5. 2022

    First AI experiments.

GMS begins with internal prototypes: generating offers automatically, classifying enquiries, checking price recommendations. At first as assistants within the existing felix.

  6. 2026

    felixUnity goes into operation.

The AI-native rewrite of felix runs in production in the first properties, built on the practice of four decades. The first partner businesses use felixUnity day to day.
